Win A Tent or Laptop for your Occupation!

Occupy is not dead – and we’re here to prove it.

The corporate media may be eager to eulogize the movement, but Occupy Supply serves over 60 encampments and protests across the country that work tirelessly for real, tangible change in their communities, including:

  • Occupy Nashville’s blockade of a Wells Fargo branch to demand they divest their stock in for-profit prisons
  • Occupy Delaware’s victory in halting the execution of death row inmate Robert Gattis
  • Occupy Atlanta’s work to save a historic black church from eviction
  • Occupy Providence’s success in forcing the Mayor to open a homeless shelter in the city

Accomplishments like these should not go unnoticed. That’s why Occupy Supply is launching an exciting new contest to both celebrate the movement’s early successes and raise awareness of this unstoppable local movement that is taking root across the country.

Here’s how it works: we have five 11’ x 11’ command-post tents worth $5,000 each to reward occupations that engage in exceptional community activism – but we need you to tell us which occupations should get them!

These brand new tents are equipped with presentation boards, tables and lighting systems. They have floors and liners to keep out the cold and wind, and are the perfect shelter to organize and plan for the spring.

The winners will be nominated and voted on by you. Twenty occupations will advance to the semi-finals, and the winners will be announced on Monday, February 6th.

Some occupations have been evicted from their encampments or have moved indoors, so we’ll also be giving away three laptops with built-in webcams (perfect for livestreaming!).

All other semi-finalists will win a $100 gift certificate for supplies from the Occupy Supply store.

But best of all: the winning occupations will have their tents personally delivered by DADT activist Lt. Dan Choi, who will visit each of the occupation and host a celebration, courtesy of Occupy Supply!

Nominate your favorite Occupy protest for a chance to win one of these game-changing prizes.  Let us know what local community-oriented activism your occupation has engaged in.
